Police officers are hired in accordance with City of Fayetteville Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations. Testing for entry-level police officer is normally scheduled two or three times each year. The testing process includes a written exam, physical agility test and interviews.

In order to meet all application requirements, you must include electronic copies of the following required documents: Birth Certificate or proof of citizenship, GED or High School or College Diploma, Driver’s License and for those with prior military experience, a copy of your DD-214. You will receive a confirmation email once you have submitted your application.
and Practice Test Available
An optional Study Guide and Practice Test for the Police Officer written examination is available for applicants to purchase directly from the testing company. It is not necessary for an applicant to purchase a Study Guide or complete a Practice Test in order to pass the written test. However, applicants who take time to familiarize themselves with the test and ways to prepare for it may tend to feel more confident on the day of the test. Application Deadline for the August 11, 2018 Test
Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00pm, July 12, 2018. The next test is scheduled on Saturday, August 11, 2018. The written exam will begin at 9:00 A.M. Eligible candidates will participate in the physical agility test Saturday afternoon and the interview phase of the testing process on Monday, August 13, 2018.
