Tour For Life To Make Stop In Fayetteville


North Shore Animal League’s 2013 Tour for Life, a national cooperative life-saving adoption event, will arrive in Fayetteville to partner with the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of the Ozarks for a special mobile adoption event on Sunday, April 21, at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on Mall Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  All of the pets available for adoption through the Fayetteville Animal Shelter will have a special adoption rate of only $10.00. 

In partnership with PURINA ONE, Tour for Life is the world’s largest cooperative mobile pet adoption initiative aimed at reinforcing the importance and advantages of shelter pet adoptions and familiarizing communities with their local shelter. 

In addition to having adoptable shelter dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, the event will also offer information on the benefits of adopting shelter pets, behavioral education, and special services available to pet owners at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter and through the Humane Society of the Ozarks.

From the beginning of March to mid-May, Tour For Life will travel the length of the United States from North to South and East to West in four "shelters on wheels", helping shelter and rescue groups, in 52 cities and 28 states bring awareness to their organizations and find homes for the adorable adoptable animals in their care.
