Animal Emergency Service

The emergency service is operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Officers answer emergency calls such as animal bites against humans, lost or stray animals that have been injured, wildlife in a residence, and livestock in roadways.

Animal cruelty complaints are also investigated by the officers. If you have witnessed cruelty, please call 444-3456 as soon as possible. After business hours you may call the Fayetteville Police Department at 587-3555.

The Shelter veterinarian provides emergency medical services to lost and stray animals, along with providing medical care to the animals housed at the shelter. Rabies vaccinations and microchips are given to each animal adopted. Animal Services also offers rabies vaccination and microchipping clinics to the public throughout the year. Call 444-3456 for more information regarding the clinics and fees.
