Facilities
Runway
Fayetteville Drake Field has a single runway oriented 16/34 and a system of parallel and connecting taxiways which serve the runway and provide access to the Terminal and other facilities on the airport. The runway is 6,006 feet long and 100 feet wide with a grooved asphalt surface. It is equipped with Medium Intensity Runway Lighting System (MIRL) and an Omni-directional Approach Lighting System (ODALS). The pavement has a gross weight load bearing capacity of 70,000 pounds single wheel, 150,000 pounds dual wheel, and 175,000 pounds dual-tandem-wheel main landing gear configuration.
Air Traffic Control
The Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) serving Fayetteville Drake Field is a level 1 facility that is located on the northeast corner of the airport. The tower is operated by CI2 Aviation, Inc., a fully trained and FAA certified air traffic control contractor. All of the towers in Northwest Arkansas, except NWA Regional (XNA) are contract towers operated by CI2 Aviation. The tower operates from 6:00am until 10:00pm daily.
Approach Control is provided by Razorback Approach Control located in Fort Smith. The radar antennae used to track aircraft locally is positioned on the top of Wallen Mountain just east of the airport.
Terminal
The Fayetteville Drake Field Terminal Building was built in 1980 and expanded in 1996. The lobby area was renovated in 2005 to accommodate the FBO and flight services provider. Additional renovations were made to accommodate a new Part 141 Pilot Training Center, two small retail spaces, and a restaurant. In addition to the Million Air Customer Service Center, Pilot Lounge, Flight Planning Center and Media Room, the following services are available in the Terminal Building:

Million Air is a National and International chain of flight service providers. Their highly trained and friendly staff provide customer service, aircraft parking, short and long-term hangaring, fueling and line service, catering, car rental, and hotel reservations for pilot and passengers from their operation based in the Airport Terminal Building. Million Air Fayetteville is a DESC aircraft fuel supplier.

SkyVenture Aviation Inc. operates a full-service FAA Part 141 approved Pilot Training School from their operation based in the Airport Terminal Building. SkyVenture is a Cessna Pilot Center which offers single and multi engine aircraft training, including instrument and instructor ratings. SkyVenture is a licensed Cessna Aircraft Dealership.

Ross Executive Aviation provides individualized pilot training from their offices in the Terminal Building. Ross Executive is owned and operated by Pat Ross, CFI. Mr. Ross conducts personalized, one-on-one pilot instruction in a variety of small aircraft. Mr. Ross is a licensed Aircraft Broker.

Aviation Maintenance Professionals: AMP provides aircraft maintenance and repair services. They have five employees and can work on single, twin, reciprocating and turbine aircraft.

Wings Avionics: Wings provides avionics sales, installation and maintenance services. Their expert technicians perform annual FAA compliance inspections and IFR Certifications on a wide variety of aircraft. Customers have access to surplus parts and work quotes on-line, inside hangar protection of their aircraft and a loaner vehicle.
