Board of Adjustments

The Board of Adjustments/Board of Sign Appeals was established by Ordinance 1747 on June 29, 1970 and was later amended by Ordinance 2324, 3340 and 4099.  Through Ordinance 4652, Board of Sign Appeals was removed from the title making it the Board of Adjustments.  Ordinance 5500 was passed on May 15, 2012 which redefined the number or members and member terms.  The purpose of the board is to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error or ambiguity in any order, requirement, decision, interpretation, or determination made by the City Planner in the enforcement of Zoning Chapter 160-164.

Vacancies on the Board are filled by appointment from the governing body.

Public Notification

Meetings are published weekly by the City Clerk on the weekly meetings list which is distributed to the media representatives with the press boxes in the City Clerk office and released via the Internet

Meeting Times

Regular meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 3:45 p.m. in Room 111 at the City Administration Building.
