This non-profit corporation was created to serve as an agent for the University and the City to construct, manage, operate and maintain the Walton Arts Center, which is owned by the City and the University as tenants in common. The Council is responsible for reviewing and revising, as required, the Center’s policies and fee structure, and for recommending to the Walton Arts Center Foundation passage of the annual operating and capital budgets.
The Board of Directors of the Walton Arts Center Council, Inc. shall consist of at least ten (10) members, and not more than twenty (20) members. The selection, replacement and terms of office of Directors of the Walton Arts Center Council, Inc. shall be as specified in the Articles of Incorporation and By-laws of the Walton Arts Center Council, Inc. as amended.
The Council consists of 20 members as follows:
City of Fayetteville appointee vacancies are filled by appointment from the governing body of the City.
A weekly meetings list is prepared by the City Clerk’s office which is distributed to the press and posted on the City’s web site: www.accessfayetteville.org
Regular meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m. at the Walton Arts Center Administration Center, N. School Street.
