                                                             PUBLIC NOTICE

      Notice of Substantial Amendment to the City of Fayetteville FY2008 Action Plan for
           receipt of Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) funds
             through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA)

On February 17, 2009, the U.S. Congress passed and President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). ARRA will provide the City of Fayetteville a total of $172,702 through a one time allocation of Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) funds. CDBG-R requires that the City of Fayetteville submit a Substantial Amendment to its FY2008 Action Plan.

The proposed Substantial Amendment will be available for citizen review and comment at www.accessfayetteville.org beginning on May 18, 2009. Copies of the proposed Substantial Amendment will also be available for review and comment at the City Clerk’s Office, City Administration Building, 113 W Mountain Street and the Community Services Office, Community Planning and Engineering Building, 125 W Mountain Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Public comments will be accepted beginning at 8:00 a.m. May 18, 2009 through May 26, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Comments may be made in writing, by phone or through email.
