Business Licensing Program

All businesses in Fayetteville must obtain a Business License  unless your business qualifies for an exemption. To find out if your business must obtain a license, please refer to the “do I qualify” link to the right. Business have two ways to apply.

A business can submit a printed application with payment by mail or in person, or a business can submit its application along with payment online for a discounted rate.

-The Fee for a new non-home based business is $35.00. If you submit the application online we give a discounted rate of $32.00

-The Fee for a new home based business is $22.00. If you submit the application online we give a discounted rate if $20.00 

Existing business in the City of Fayetteville will need to renew their business license between September 1 - October 31 of each year. The cost of renewal is $15.00 Penalties do apply for applications not renewed by October 31.

Existing businesses operating in the City of Fayetteville with out a business license are subject to late fees. See "Fee Structure" link to the right  for more information.
