Fayetteville instituted its Business License Program in the fall of 2011, and all businesses located within the city of Fayetteville are now required to obtain a business license and annually renew it with the Department of Development Services at the City of Fayetteville. This section provides information about the business license as well as other information to assist you in filing a Doing Business As/Fictitious Business Name, registering your business, and acquiring an Employer Identification Number (EIN). This section also provides information about city, county, state, and federal taxes and tax permits. Fayetteville has a 2% city sales tax, and if your business is a hotel, motel, or restaurant then there is an additional 2% HMR tax that will apply.
