Staff is proposing that the City of Fayetteville partner with the University of Arkansas and undertake a community visioning process for a sustainable future modeled after the American Institute of Architects Regional / Urban Design Assistance Teams (RUDAT)

In early 2008, the Center for Business and Economic Research conducted a study for the City of Fayetteville that projects growth in sales and property tax revenues through 2017.

2008 Economic Development White Paper
To help initiate the conversation about economic development and building a sustainable economy for the future of Fayetteville, city staff drafted a white paper that discusses the city's current financial position, uses the CBER study to identify estimated shortfalls in revenue over the next several years, and outlines a proposal for action to address Fayetteville's long term economic viability.
