The intent of wastewater and water impact fees is to ensure that new development bears a proportionate share of the cost of improvements to the City’s water and wastewater systems; to ensure that the proportionate share does not exceed the cost of providing water and wastewater facilities to the development that paid the fee; and to ensure that funds collected from developments are used to construct water and wastewater facilities that serve such developments.
