Your FEMA designated flood zone describes land in terms of its risk of flooding.  Fayetteville has the following zones:

            Zone A is the flood hazard area without Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) determined.

            Zone AE is the 100-year (1% annual chance) floodplain with BFEs.

            Zone X is all other areas considered low risk.
