I downloaded contours in CAD format, where are the elevations?
Answer
The software that translates our GIS data in a CAD format doesn't convert our elevation field, however, the elevation is inherent in the line and it can be viewed in 3D. If you have a software package that can import ArcGIS Shapefiles, you will have more control over the elevation data as it is converted.
