Mayor Dan Coody and representatives from three major food banks in the area will hold a press conference on Friday November 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM in room 219 at City Hall. The purpose of the press conference is to help communicate the growing demand for food bank services and encourage Fayetteville residents to donate canned goods to these organizations. The Mayor will also announce City Employee’s week-long canned food drive which will begin Dec 1. There will be several drop-off locations throughout town including City Hall and each of the Fayetteville Fire Stations. Residents can begin dropping their donations at any of the following Fayetteville locations beginning Monday November 24. There will also be a box for canned goods contributions at the Fire Truck at the Lights of the Ozarks lighting on Saturday, Nov. 22.
