Mayor Jordan will Present Proclamation to Brent and Becky Heath
04/16/2009
Mayor Lioneld Jordan will present a proclamation to Brent and Becky Heath this Saturday, April 18th at 8:30 a.m. in the area of the raised flower bed at One West Mountain. Brent and Becky have donated tens of thousand of bulbs to the City of Fayetteville through the Fayetteville in Bloom program. The bulbs have been planted throughout the city, including at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Many of the bulbs were planted by volunteers where the public can enjoy them and have been on display over the last few weeks.
Fayetteville's late Carl Totemeier mentored Brent Heath as he was building his third generation bulb business in Gloucester, Virginia. Carl dreamed of making Fayetteville the "City of Daffodils" and now Brent and Becky are making that dream come true with their donations. Their motto is "Plant Bulbs, Harvest Smiles" and that is evidenced throughout Fayetteville.
Brent Heath is in Fayetteville April 17 and 18 to give three presentations at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Becky Heath is remaining in Virginia to run the business.
