FAYETTEVILLE IN BLOOM MAKES DONATION FOR MURALS TO CURB GRAFFITI

09/05/2013

On Tuesday, September 3, Fayetteville in Bloom, through Fayetteville in Bloom Director Cindi Cope, presented $1000 in gift cards to Corporal Dan Montgomery of the City of Fayetteville Police Department and Brian Pugh, City of Fayetteville Waste Reduction Coordinator, to purchase paint and other supplies to continue painting murals in Fayetteville.

Graffiti has been and is a problem in Fayetteville, but murals help combat this problem.  Typically people who paint graffiti will avoid a mural.  One of the Criteria for America in Bloom is Overall Impression, and graffiti does not contribute to that positive impression.  Fayetteville in Bloom has been donating Taginator, a graffiti removal product to the Fayetteville Police Department for several years.

For additional information about this donation and Fayetteville in Bloom, you may contact Cindi Cope at CopeCindi@aol.com, for information about graffiti you may contact Corporal Montgomery at dmontgomery@ci.fayetteville.ar.us, and for information about Keep Fayetteville Beautiful, you may contact Brian Pugh at bpugh@ci.fayetteville.ar.us.

The City of Fayetteville thanks Fayetteville in Bloom for this generous donation for murals that help address problems with graffiti.
