Fayetteville Downtown Square Renewal and Renovation project

During the City Council Agenda Session on March 11, 2008 City staff reviewed the Downtown Square Renewal and Renovation project including the scope of the project, information about tree removal and replacement, and project cost estimates. "The square is our collective living room," said Director of Operations Gary Dumas. As the primary community gathering spot, the deteriorating and hazardous conditions on the square were a growing concern.  Mayor Coody provided a photo montage depicting some of the more serious hazards in and around the square that the renovation will address.  Citizens can view a tri-fold pamphlet and images of the Square that explains the Downtown Square project.
