Meet Your Trails - Clear Creek Trail
Meet Your Trails Spring 2014
July 11, 2014
FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Join City of Fayetteville Accounting Manager, Shelly Turberville, for the latest "Meet Your Trails" tour. Shelly will lead a bike tour of Clear Creek Trail on Saturday, July 19th, starting at 8:00 a.m. The tour will start from the Clear Creek trailhead located at the northwest corner of the NWA Mall parking lot near J.C. Penny. The bike tour will follow the recently completed Clear Creek Trail, which is a multi-use paved trail, and will include portions of the Mud Creek and Scull Creek Trails.
The idea for "Meet Your Trails" tours was developed the City of Fayetteville’s Employee Wellness Committee as a way for both employees and citizens to explore different sections of the Fayetteville trails system; tours are led by senior staff members. This will be the third of four trail tours. Participants are encouraged to invite co-workers, friends, and family to explore and enjoy all that Fayetteville’s trails have to offer while getting a bit of exercise.
The bike tour of Clear Creek Trail will be a family friendly 7.4 mile round trip ride. As always, we ask that you follow bike safety procedures. Please note that helmets are not required for this ride, but are encouraged.
Water will be provided thanks to Fayetteville’s Recycle Something campaign. If you have any questions about different ways to recycle in Fayetteville please visit their website at http://recyclesomething.org/.
The City’s Wellness Committee is dedicated to our employees and helping our workplace become a more health conscious one. Please feel free to contact your Wellness Committee members with any idea or suggestions that you think will make a difference in the overall health of all our employees here at the City of Fayetteville.
*Friendly reminder: Ticks and other insects are particularly abundant this year. People may wish to keep this in mind in case they wish to take personal precautions to protect themselves from insect bites.
