Facilitating Neighborhood Action

Together We Will Make A Difference

Goal: To give representatives in Fayetteville’s neighborhoods the tools necessary to take action on activities that affect their neighborhoods.

Immanent Issues: The following agenda items will take place each meeting in addition to other topics of interest.

Neighborhood Updates: Please be brief. If you have concerns that go beyond the scope of what this group can do to help, please see Julie McQuade and/or Sarah Lewis to get further assistance with the next steps you can take to help with your neighborhood’s concerns.

It is important that each of us feels that we have the power to make a difference!

The Facilitating Neighborhood Action Program is a monthly educational program held at the beginning of each Fayetteville Council of Neighborhoods meeting (Third Thursday of Each Month, 6:00 PM). Attendees are given an overview of issues, ordinances, projects, city services, and other general information pertaining to the Action Topic for that month. The previous month's Action Topic is also reviewed briefly.

The purpose of this program is to give neighborhoods and citizens the tools necessary...

  • to address issues that arise in their neighborhood,
  • to find city policy and ordinance information,
  • to get answers for questions pertaining to city services,
  • to find the right person or division to address issues and answer questions,
  • to participate in the municipal policy decision process, and
  • to facilitating action and/or change in the neighborhoods and in Fayetteville.

For more information about this program contact the Neighborhood Coordinator at 479-575-8253.

Previous Action Topic and Program documents are available on the Neighborhood Resources Documents page.
