Staying Informed
AccessFayetteville provides numerous ways to stay informed about your local government.
Question
Why should we register our neighborhood association, property owners association, or home owners association with the City and be part of the Council of Neighborhoods?
Answer
Registration has its privileges. Neighborhoods must register with the City of Fayetteville in order to have a voting seat on the Council of Neighborhoods. Additionally, a current registration with the City provides City officials a point of contact for your neighborhood when issues arise or when projects are coming into your area. This allows communication between the neighborhood and City or developer before decisions are made and involves the neighborhood in these discussions. Registration forms are available under the Neighborhood Resources Division.
Council of Neighborhood members also have the opportunity to learn from one another by sharing neighborhood problems as well as solutions.
