Parks and Recreation to celebrate Bryce Davis Renovations on Wednesday, June 11

Davis Park renovations included new playgrounds and a new basketball court.

Fayetteville Parks and Recreation will host a playground celebration at Bryce Davis Park on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 5:30pm. Bryce Davis Park is a nine acre park located at 1595 N Dartmouth.

 

Parks and Recreation Staff submitted to Arkansas Parks and Tourism and recieved an Outdoor Recreation Grant in Spring 2007. The funding was to replace the outdated playground with modern, ADA Accessible playground equipment.

 

The newly renovated park now features an updated playground, picnic areas, a half court basketball court and connecting sidewalks. The total renovation cost was approximately $127,000. The Outdoor Recreation Grant funded approximately $50,000 of this amount. Playground renovations and playground installation was completed by RJR enterprises of Rogers, Arkansas.

 

The public is invited to this celebration that will include a short dedication, a ribbon cutting ceremony and ice cream provided by Hiland Dairy.
