Park History
In 1983, nineteen acres were purchase with Community Development Block Grant Funds. Located off US Highway 62 West, the park was named Charles J. Finger Park in honor of a local author who wrote from his Fayetteville home. This tract of land has many park features such as a large open area, a small stream, and a large grove of trees leading up the mountain to an overlook.
