Park History

Donated by the United States Veterans Affairs in 1964, Gregory Park is a 19 acre wooded parcel located off Highway 71 on Sycamore Street. The park was called Veteran's Park until 1978 when it was changed to Gregory Park in honor of James K. Gregory, a pioneer businessman in the community who helped start the Drake Field Airport.
