Park History

Walker Park was the second park added to the city parks system in 1949, and is known as the home of "baseball for youth" and a place to play soccer, ultimate Frisbee, horseshoes, handball/racquetball, tennis, BMX racing, skateboarding, for picnicking or a place to have a family or social gathering. Walker Park has been developed into a highly utilized park that meets a variety of recreational needs for the community to enjoy.
