Women's 8v8 Soccer League
Spring 2010 Season
The 2010 Spring Women's Soccer season began on Sunday, March 14th and will finish up on Sunday, May 9th. Games are played on Sunday afternoons. Registration was from February 1st - March 5th. This season the league will have seven teams. If you don't have a team and would like to play, call 444-3471 x369 and sign up on our "free agent" list.
Spring 2010 Women's Soccer League SCHEDULE
League Rules and Information
- ALL FIFA RULES APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED.
- Teams will play 8v8 on fields approximately 75 x 55 yards.
- Games will consist of two 40 minute halves with a five minute halftime.
- Games will be officiated by one center referee.
- No Offsides.
- Unlimited substitutions on any dead ball.
- Every player must be 16 yrs or older to participate.
- Teams will be responsible for their own uniforms, and each team will need matching shirts/jerseys. Teams will also need to have an alternate color jersey. If opposing teams are the same color, then the team listed first on the schedule will need to change.
- Teams must have five players to begin a game. Teams are allowed a ten minute grace period at the beginning of each game before a forfeit is called.
- Two ten week seasons will be played, one in the spring and one in the fall. Separate registrations will be held for each season.
- Games will be played on Sunday afternoons beginning at 2:00 pm at Lewis Fields, a few Thursday games may be played. These Thursday games will be played at 6:00 pm.
- Team Captains and Assistant Captains will be responsible for filling out the team registration form, and making payment to Fayetteville Parks and Recreation.
- Team registration fee is $325, and rosters are limited to 16 players.
- Roster changes are allowed through the fifth week of season, after which time all rosters will be fixed.
Fall 2009 Season
THANK YOU to all five teams that participated in the fall 2009 season: Black Panthers, Clean Sweep, Crusaders, Forza, and Latinas. Parks and Recreation hopes you enjoyed yet another round of Women's League Soccer. Special congratulations to Crusaders on earning the title of League Champions both this fall and spring!
