2009 FALL SOCCER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Fayetteville Parks and Recreation will begin accepting registrations on Monday, April 20th for our youth soccer program. Our recreational soccer program is for girls and boys ages three to sixteen. This program is part of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation’s GoodSports recreational programs where fun is emphasized!

Registration will be accepted for the fall season only OR both the fall and spring seasons. A discount rate is given to encourage registration for the full year (both fall and spring seasons). The season begins with two or three practices, followed by playing two games per week. Any additional practices may be determined by the coach. All players registering with Fayetteville Parks and Recreation are randomly assigned to a team based on age. Volunteer coaches are screened and trained by Parks and Recreation. Players who sign up for both the fall and spring season will remain on the same team for both seasons.

First Touch Soccer

First Touch Soccer will begin on Saturday, September 5 and will take place on the Asbell Fields. This program is an introduction to soccer for children born between August 2005 - July 2006. Children in First Touch will play Mondays and Saturdays or Tuesdays and Saturdays depending on the group you are assigned to.

U14 and U16 soccer

If you are signed up for our spring season in the U14 or U16 division, you will be contacted by your coach the first part of September. Because our oldest league plays teams from all over Northwest Arkansas, their season starts later than our younger age groups. Your coach will also provide your fall schedule when he contacts you. Games are typically play one night a week and on Saturdays.

Inclement Weather

In case of inclement weather, please contact one of the following weather hotlines: 443-PARK or 718-7600 ext.1788. These lines will be updated no later than 3:30 on weekdays and by 8am on Saturday mornings.

2009 Fields

Be sure to download a map of the soccer fields. As you may know, there are many fields at the complex, and many teams who wear the exact same type of uniforms. Sometimes, it may be difficult to find your team. Be Prepared! Know exactly where you are going by downloading a map of these two complexes along with your child's schedule.
