Outdoor Adventure Camp:
If you are interested in learning and participating in exciting Outdoor Activities, this is the perfect camp for you. Fayetteville Parks and Recreation and Lewis and Clark partner to bring you this exciting summer camp experience. In the Outdoor Adventure Camp, participants learn to participate in extreme outdoor activities available in Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas.
Activities planned include riding mountain bikes along Lake Fayetteville's 5.5 mile nature trail, climbing Lewis and Clark's 25 foot rock wall and maneuvering a kayak in Lake Fayetteville. Participants will also fish, hike, geo-cache, play disc golf and play volleyball at Veterans Memorial Park sand volleyball courts.
At the conclusion of the week, campers will participate in a miniature Outdoor Adventure Race. In this final event, campers will utilize their newly learned skills to reach the finish line.
For the price of registration, each camper receives a T-Shirt and a camp giveaway.
Fayetteville Parks & Recreation and the United State Tennis Association provide fundamental instruction including forehand, backhand, volley, serves, footwork, and rules of the game. Campers are required to bring their own racket, although a limited number of rackets are available for those who need one. Please contact Parks and Recreation (444.3471) to reserve a racket. Campers will receive a camp T-Shirt and a giveaway.
This camp will be an excellent way for children to learn or improve their soccer skills. Each morning participants will work on skills such as shooting, dribbling and passing, while playing various games designed to have fun and improve foot-eye coordination. All participants will receive a T-shirt and soccer ball, which they will need to bring with them each day of the camp.
Drama Camp with Arts Live Theatre:
Drama Camp introduces campers to the theater with fundamental acting techniques and methods. With the help of Arts Live Theatre instructors, campers will learn foundational acting techniques and theater terminology, while exploring character creation through fun and games. The camp will culminate on Friday with a showcase performance. Campers will receive a Camp T-Shirt and a giveaway.
Our Camp Wilson (formerly known as Swim, Fun, and Fitness) teaches campers how to have fun and be active! Throughout the week, campers will learn how to improve their fitness levels by participating in various games/activities. Campers will need to bring a towel and swimming suit. Shoes must be worn all week (Sandals are not allowed). Each camper will receive a T-Shirt and a giveaway.
