City of Fayetteville Preservation Awards, 2012
Nominations are being accepted for the City of Fayetteville Preservation Awards. The Historic District Commission will present five Preservation Awards to honor projects, organizations, and individuals that have displayed outstanding commitment, practice, and leadership in preservation in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Self nominations are welcome, and electronic submittals are encouraged. The deadline for nominations and supporting material is Monday, April 2nd at 5:00 p.m.
Neighborhood and Heritage Award recognizes an individual's, institution's, or organization's significant community effort to stabilize and promote economic development in a historic neighborhood or larger area for projects that through best preservation practices.
Spirit of Place Award recognizes sustained efforts and service in historic preservation by an individual, institution, or organization operating in a local historic setting or recognition of exemplary preservation endeavor that has retained its integrity for a time of 25 years or more.
Best Preservation Practices Award recognizes quality work and the practice of preservation technique in restoring, rehabilitating, preserving or reusing a building, site, structure, or landscape in the spirit of the Secretary of Interior's Standards. The recipient of this award will have sympathetically maintained or carefully rehabilitated an old building fabric on a project.
Respectful New Construction Award recognizes additions to existing historic structures or new construction that integrate an established local or regional style into the historic streetscape or neighborhood fabric.
The Mayor's Award for Outstanding Service in Historic Preservation recognizes an individual's or organization's outstanding and exemplary service in historic preservation, which may include funding/fundraising for preservation, instructing others in the field of preservation, advocacy for the preservation and/or protection of historic structures or landscapes, and promoting public policies that advance the interest of preserving the cultural heritage and history of a community.
