A final community presentation of the Fayette Junction Master Plan will be held on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at BioBased Companies located at the southeast corner of Razorback Road and Cato Springs Road. Over 100 stakeholders participated in a charrette September 13-18 to develop the guiding principles for the future of the Fayette Junction area. During the following four months, Planning staff produced an Illustrative Plan and draft vision document that includes an explanation of the guiding principles as well as an implementation process, which will be presented on Tuesday night.
The vision document will be available to the public on January 26 at http://cityplan2025.accessfayetteville.org.
The guiding principles for the neighborhood are:
1) Integrate the built and natural environments
2) Support multi-modal transit
3) Create a clean tech cluster
The implementation steps propose rezoning the Razorback Road corridor, adding proposed streets to the Master Street Plan and creating a riparian buffer ordinance.
The Fayette Junction Master Plan is the second complete neighborhood plan to be facilitated and developed by City staff and meets one of the benchmarks adopted in City Plan 2025. All neighborhood residents, property owners, business owners and stakeholder groups are invited to attend and participate in small group tours of one of Fayetteville’s clean tech companies. Tours will begin at 6:00 p.m.
