JOB OPPORTUNITY

The City of Fayetteville Long Range Planning Division seeks to hire an architectural intern or licensed architect to participate as a team member in a week-long community design charrette. The City intends to create a Master Plan for the Razorback Road corridor from I-540 to 15th Street that sets forth a vision for the future of development in this area. The City is offering a contract of up to $800 to a professional who is willing to provide high-quality perspectives that depict the community’s vision.

Tasks will include:

  • participating in a Hands-on Design Workshop and Design Studio on September 13-14;
  • attending at least 2 charrette team meetings September 15-18;
  • completing at least 4 perspective drawings rendered in color during the charrette that provide examples of building types, typical streets, squares, parks, specific locations of importance or other significant design concepts, as the City may deem appropriate, and
  • refining drawings produced in the charrette for inclusion in the final plan.

Interested architects should contact Karen Minkel, Interim Director of Long Range Planning by July 18.
