FAYETTEVILLE POLICE CONDUCTS ALCOHOL COMPLIANCE CHECKS OF LOCAL BUSINESSES
09/23/2011
Fayetteville Police Greg Tabor announced today the results of the police department’s directed alcohol enforcement efforts. On September 22, 2011, the Fayetteville Police Department participated in random compliance checks of seventeen alcohol permitted businesses in Fayetteville. Of those seventeen, Grubbs Uptown Grill, Kobe Hibachi Grill and Sushi, Logan’s Roadhouse, Posta Plata and OK China Buffet were found to be non-complaint and an employee at each location was issued a citation for Unknowingly Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
The Fayetteville Police Department treats underage drinking offenses as a priority. The department has actively enforced underage drinking laws in Fayetteville for more than seventeen years now and its commitment has remained the same. The department will investigate and seek prosecution on those that provide alcohol to minors and will randomly check for compliance of those businesses responsible for the sale of alcohol in an effort to keep alcohol out of the hands of minors.
