FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ANNOUNCE THE ARREST OF A FAYETTEVILLE MAN IN VEHICLE BREAKINS.

02/01/2010

Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a Fayetteville man for breaking or entering to vehicles.

The Fayetteville Police Department received complaints of vehicle break-ins in the area of Parkshore Drive.  Through the course of investigation, leads were developed and police arrested James Hedges, white male, age 18 of Fayetteville.  Hedges was arrested for Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property.

It was learned during the investigation the suspect was seeking unlocked vehicles as primary targets.  The suspect entered multiple unlocked vehicles many of which were not reported to the police.  The police department would like to take this opportunity to remind citizens to minimize their risk of theft by locking their vehicle doors and not leaving valuables in plain sight.  Victims are also encouraged to report break-ins to the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
