FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ARREST SEX OFFENDER IN CONNECTION WITH MISSING TEEN
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a sex offender in connection with a missing juvenile.
On March 5, 2014, Fayetteville Police received a report of a missing 15-year-old juvenile female from her residence in Fayetteville. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned that the female was reported to be with Jimmie Doyle CAPEHART, age 21, of Fayetteville. CAPEHART was determined to be a registered sex offender reportedly living on W. Van Ashe Drive in Fayetteville. Detectives learned that CAPEHART was no longer living at the W. Van Ashe address to which he was registered.
Fayetteville Police Detectives located CAPEHART and the missing juvenile at a local motel. During a subsequent interview, CAPEHART admitted to having consensual sex with the juvenile. CAPEHART was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Sexual Assault 4th Degree
