MAN ARRESTED FOR HAVING CHILD PORN ON HIS COMPUTER

The Fayetteville Police Department announced today the arrest of a Fayetteville man for child pornography discovered on his computer.

            Between November 19th , 2009  and February 2ndh, 2010, the Fayetteville Police Department Special Investigations Unit conducted an on-line investigation related to child pornography over the internet.  The suspect was identified on-line offering to participate in the distribution of sexually explicit material involving a child.

            As a result of the investigation a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence, 1298 N. Futrall Dr. #9 in Fayetteville.  During the search, investigators located two computers and other media items, which revealed multiple images of child pornography.  There is no evidence to suggest the children depicted in the images are local children or known to the victim.               

            Arrested was Jonathan David CICERO, white male, age 31 of Fayetteville.  Cicero was charged with 5 felony counts of Distributing, Possessing or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child.

            This investigation is continuing and we will provide additional information as it becomes available for release.
