LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR METHAMPHETAMINE

Today, Fayetteville Police Chief and Chairman of the FourthJudicial District Drug Task Force Greg Tabor announced the arrestof a Fayetteville man for delivery of methamphetamine.

     For the past two months, members of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force have conducted an undercover operation involving the suspect and the purchase of methamphetamine. On December 29th, 2009, members of the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force assisted Arkansas State Parole Officers at 519 Betty Jo Drive.

     Arrested was Justin Wade Davenport, white male, age 39 of Fayetteville.    Davenport was arrested for Illegal Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).

           The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force is comprised of Fayetteville, Springdale, University of Arkansas, Prairie Grove, Lincoln, Farmington, West Fork, Greenland, Johnson, Elm Springs, Elkins Police Departments and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. 

     This investigation is continuing.
