FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ANNOUNCE THE ARREST OF A FAYETTEVILLE MAN FOR BREAKING OR ENTERING AND THEFT OF PROPERTY.
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a Fayetteville man for breaking or entering and theft of property.
The Fayetteville Police Department received complaints of thefts of tires and rims from several auto dealerships dating back to December 2009. After a through investigation, a search warrant was executed at 4395 W. Patrick in Fayetteville. Police arrested Brandon Jones, black male, age 24 of Fayetteville. Jones was arrested for Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property. The stolen rims and tires, various keys and dealership paperwork were located inside the suspect’s garage.
It was learned during the investigation the suspect was also involved in similar thefts in Springdale. The suspect entered multiple vehicles and took the tires and rims from the dealership lots. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $50,000.
Investigators are currently conducting an inventory of property seized from the suspect’s residence in an effort to determine ownership. Any persons believing they are the victim of similar thefts are urged to contact the Fayetteville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division for further inquiry.
