AccessFayetteville provides numerous ways to stay informed about your local government.
The Fayetteville Police Department receives calls daily of parking complaints throughout the city. Two current parking deck projects as well lane closures in the affected areas may leave motorists delayed and looking for alternative parking. Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor would like to remind motorists to prepare for these delays and limited parking.
Traffic on North College Avenue near the Washington County Courthouse has been narrowed by lane closures and motorists can expect delays in this area. Complicating matters, the parking deck at the courthouse has been closed.
Another project causing delays and parking problems is the construction of a new parking deck on Lindell Avenue between Douglas and Cleveland Streets. Traffic on Lindell will be routed one way, northbound, for the duration of the construction. No parking signs have been posted for this street and will be enforced by the Fayetteville Police Department. The Fayetteville Police Department offers the following parking reminders to motorist:
- Park with the flow of traffic.
- Do not block driveways.
- Do not park on sidewalks or right-of-way.
- Be aware of posted signs and comply with the law.
