FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ARREST ROBBERY SUSPECT

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today that the Fayetteville Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at the Pizza Hut at 314 S. School Avenue.
On October 23, 2008 at approximately 10:00 P.M., the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Pizza Hut at 314 S. School Avenue, for a report that two black males had robbed the night manager at gunpoint. At the time of the report, the victim believed that one of the suspects was a former employee, Curtis Jerome SHORTER, black male, age twenty-three, of Fayetteville. Fayetteville Police interviewed SHORTER about the incident and he was later arrested on the charges of Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property.
This investigation is continuing and we will provide additional information as it becomes available for release.
