FAYETTEVILLE POLICE PROMOTIONS
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today two promotions have taken place recently at the police department. On Wednesday December 14, 2011, Chief Greg Tabor promoted Sergeant Doug Pope to the rank of Lieutenant and Corporal Robert McKinney to the rank of Sergeant.
Doug Pope started his career with the Fayetteville Police Department in July, 1995 as a Patrolman. During his career he has worked as a Detective, a Patrol Supervisor, the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force Supervisor, and most recently served as the Training Division Sergeant. Robert McKinney started his police career with the Arkansas Tech University Police Department in December 1991. In January 1994, he joined Russellville Police Department where he worked as a Patrolman, Detective and as a Crime Scene Technician. In November 2004, he joined the Fayetteville Police Department as a Patrol Officer and has most recently been assigned to the Bike Patrol serving the Uptown area.
The Fayetteville Police Department wants to congratulate Lieutenant Pope and Sergeant McKinney on their promotions and wish them luck in their new positions.
