FAYETTEVILLE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN ROOFING SCAM
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department has made an arrest related to a fraudulent roofing scheme carried out by a local roofing company.
On December 2, 2011, Fayetteville detectives arrested SHAWN LAWRENCE REDMOND, age 57, of 4023 Wedington Drive, for multiple counts of Theft by Deception. REDMOND owned Razorback Roofing at 60 East Township, Suite 1, when his business and employees took multiple payments for roofing jobs that were never started. REDMOND also did business under the name of Razorfast Roofing.
The Fayetteville Police Department took twelve reports between May and December, 2011, in which Razorback Roofing or Razorfast Roofing took money for jobs that were not done. There are additional victims throughout Northwest Arkansas, many of them elderly.
The Fayetteville Police Department would like to speak to anyone who was victimized by REDMOND’S companies through roofing or other fraudulent acts. Those with information can contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
