Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department has arrested a subject in a connection with two commercial burglaries. 

            On April 5, 2013, at approximately 4:29 A.M., Fayetteville Police responded to an alarm at Swift Jewelers located at 27 N. Block Avenue.   When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a glass window had been broken and jewelry was missing from the business.   A short time later, responding officers located a subject walking near the area of Dickson Street and Locust Avenue.   During the course of the investigation they discovered that this person had jewelry from the store on his person.    Officers learned that the suspect had also been involved in a burglary of Dickson Street Liquor at 241 W. Dickson Street and was still in possession of a bottle of liquor from that burglary.       

            Christopher TREAT, white-male, age 27 of Fayetteville was arrested for two counts of Commercial Burglary, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Theft of Property and Public Intoxication.
