FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN WHO STAGED ARMED ROBBERY

On Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at approximately 10:56 P.M., the Fayetteville Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from an employee of U.S. Pizza at 202 W. Dickson, reporting a robbery.  The employee told responding police and detectives that a man came into the business, pointed a gun at him and demanded money. 

On Friday, September 30, 2011, detectives were able to determine the employee had staged the robbery with the help of a friend.  Detectives arrested Keith Layne INGRAM, white male, age 29, of Fayetteville for Filing a False Police Report and Theft of Property.

The investigation is continuing.
