DRUG TASK FORCE SEIZES MARIJUANA

Chief of Police and Chairman of the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of one individual for drug charges.    

Over the past several months, detectives from the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force have been working on a drug trafficking case in the Fayetteville and Springdale area.  On Tuesday May 7, 2013, detectives from the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force along with Officers from the Springdale Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at 3241 #B Singletree Avenue in Springdale.   During the search of the residence, officers seized approximately one quarter pound of MDMA, approximately one quarter pound of Cocaine, approximately 2 ounces of Crack Cocaine, 108 grams of marijuana, 2 Ecstasy pills and $1319 in cash along with other drug paraphernalia. 

Officers arrested Marc VIGIL, white- male, age 34, of Springdale, for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (MDMA), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Crack Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Marijuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Ecstasy), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force is comprised of Fayetteville, Springdale, Prairie Grove, Lincoln, Farmington, West Fork, Greenland, Johnson, Elm Springs, Elkins Police Departments, the City of Goshen, and the Washington and Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is continuing and more arrests are anticipated.
