Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a suspect in an Aggravated Residential Burglary at 232 North Olive Street.

            On Monday, November 29, 2011, at approximately 9:19 P.M., Fayetteville police officers responded to 232 North Olive Street for a report of a burglary.   Three black males armed with handguns broke into the house and confronted homeowners.   A struggle followed and two men were shot, one of which was a resident of 232 North Olive Street.   The second man shot, Roderick Cooper, was one of the suspects, and he was transported to WRMC where he later died.    Police arrested David Richardson in December 2011 for his role in the robbery; however, the other two suspects remained at large.

            Over the past several months Fayetteville police detectives  have continued to pursue leads in this case, and on Thursday, September 6, 2012, investigators arrested Darreon MATTHEWS, black-male age 22 of Fayetteville for Aggravated Residential Burglary and Engaging in Violent Group Activity.
