Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of a four people involved in a shooting incident on Boxley Avenue. 

            On June 14, 2012, Fayetteville Police responded to 1233 Boxley for a report of a shooting.   Officers determined two rival groups who had been involved in an earlier disturbance had once again started arguing.   During this argument Walter GREEN and Stephan PERKINS produced handguns and began exchanging gunfire with the rival group down the street.   One person from the rival group was injured during the exchange and was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries.  

            Fayetteville Police arrested Walter GREEN, black-male, age 30 of Fayetteville and Stephan PERKINS, black-male, age 26 of Fayetteville for Accomplice of Terroristic Act, and Engaging in Violent Criminal Group Activity, Hindering Apprehension, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.   Adrian SMITH, black-male, age 35 of Fayetteville was arrested for Hindering Apprehension.

            Fayetteville Police are aggressively looking for a white-male subject driving a gray sport utility vehicle, possibly an Isuzu Rodeo.   Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.   This investigation is continuing and more arrests are anticipated.
