National prescription take back day results

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the results of the Fayetteville Police National Prescription Drug Take Back Day that occurred Saturday, April 28, 2012.

On Saturday, in conjunction with the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, the

Fayetteville Police Department in partnership with Project Right Choice, hosted a drop off station for the collection of unused, unwanted or expired prescription or over-the-counter medications in the parking lot of World Gym at 2035 N. College Avenue.  During the course of the event, over sixty six pounds of medications were collected.

Properly disposing of unused or expired medicine prevents both safety and environmental hazards.  The Fayetteville Police Department would like to thank everyone involved who helped make this event a success.
