Police investigate pedestrian accident
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a pedestrian accident on N. College Avenue.
On Thursday, August 1, 2013, at approximately 10:06 P.M., Fayetteville Police officers responded to College and Shepard for a report of a pedestrian accident. Gilbert Flores, age 34, had just left the business of Hooters and was attempting to cross N. College Avenue on foot outside of a designated crosswalk, when he was struck by a green 2002 Honda Accord driven by Edita Guevasa, age 33 of Springdale. Flores stood up and was then struck by a 2004 yellow Ford Econoline van driven by Peter Ewald, age 52 of Fort Smith. Flores was transported by ambulance to Washington Regional Medical Center in critical condition. He was later transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
