Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today that three Fayetteville Police Officers graduated from the Northwest Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy.

            On Friday, October 14, 2011, Officers Ryan Schleiff, Michael Young and Travis Robinson graduated from the Northwest Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Elm Springs.   The three began their career with the Fayetteville Police Department on July 11, 2011 and started the academy on July 25, 2011.  While at the academy, they received instruction and practical application in the areas criminal investigation, accident investigation, firearms, non deadly defensive tactics, officer safety techniques, traffic law, criminal law, civil liability and other legal aspects of law enforcement, first aid, crime prevention, crisis intervention, and cultural diversity.  After graduation, they will receive an additional three weeks of training at the Fayetteville Police Department before they begin a sixteen week Field Training Program. 

            The Fayetteville Police Department wants to congratulate these officers on their graduation and to wish them luck in the next phase of their training.
