FAYETTEVILLE POLICE ADD TWO HYBRID VEHICLES TO FLEET
Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department has purchased two hybrid vehicles.
Rising fuel costs and growing concerns over environmental damage due to carbon monoxide emissions has led the City of Fayetteville to look at more efficient alternatives for its fleet. This includes the recent purchase of two hybrid vehicles for the police department. These new hybrid vehicles will replace two older gas-powered sedans that were due for scheduled replacement after being in service for approximately 11 years. If these vehicles prove to be cost-effective and useful, additional hybrids may be purchased to replace other police vehicles utilized for non-emergency purposes.
