Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department recently added a new canine to the department.

            Officer Aaron Tomlinson and his canine partner Asko were recently added to the Fayetteville Police Departments Canine Division.    Asko is a two year old German Shepard and replaced Macky who was retired in 2010.  Officer Tomlinson is a three year veteran of the Fayetteville Police Department and worked previously at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Asko is trained in drug detection, building searches and felony apprehension.  Officer Tomlinson and Asko are both certified through the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association.

            We want to wish Officer Tomlinson and Asko the best of luck in their new assignment.
